Week of January 22, 2018

Hello Central Campus parents,

First, congratulations to both our Grade 9 Boys and Girls Basketball teams for making it to the FINALS at our home tournament @ South Peace Campus. Both games were exciting to watch and there was a lot of DCSS cheer.  Both teams lost (Girls vs. College Heights and Boys vs. Gr 10 DCSS) but they played hard and showed lots of promise and teamwork. Well done Coyotes and Coach Hammer and Coach Spenner!

Besides a full week of school, a couple things coming up:

Week of January 15, 2017

Hi again Central parents/guardians:

Yes, we are back to milder weather. It’s a welcome change from the frigid temperatures that we had last Thursday and Friday.  Attendance on both no-bus days was about 40%, so teachers and classes will be busy catching up together.

THIS WEEK:

Now that our school days are back to normal, we will hand out Trimester 1 Honor Roll Certificates by Wednesday during Pod time.

Week of January 8, 2018

Happy 2018 to all our Central Campus parents/guardians;

We hope everyone had a great Winter Break with family and friends.  Though we started back to school right after New Year’s Day and that a lot of our students woke up in the afternoons during the Break, it was a nice four-day week getting back into routine.

This week brings:

PAC meeting tonight @ Central Campus in the Welcome Room; starting at 7:00pm.

Week of December 11, 2017

Hi Central Campus parents and guardians,

Welcome to the last week of school before the Winter Break.  It’s also one of our busiest weeks as the countdown continues.  Trimester 1 Report Cards go home on Thursday.  Students will be taking them home.  Also, this week we are busy with our Food Hamper Drive as we collect and fundraise food/gift items for deserving families. Our goal is to collect and fundraise for 6 hampers.  If you are interested in donating, please drop by our Office.  Thanks for your generosity.

Hi again Central Campus parents and guardians,

First, we thank-you for coming out last week for Parent-Teacher Interviews.  We had a great turnout both days.  We appreciated your patience as you waited to see teachers and for also participating in our Values activity.  It’s great to see our parents in the school and involved in giving their input.  We will soon see you again.

The countdown to Winter Break is upon us!  We have only two weeks, and they will both be FULL.
